Mareile Wiegmann (VUB-MOBI)
Mareile Wiegmann (VUB-MOBI) is a researcher within the Urban Mobility research group at VUB-MOBI. She acquired a MSc in International Spatial Planning at University College London (UCL) after completing a Bachelor in Integrated Social Sciences at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany. Her PhD research, supervised by Prof. dr. Cathy Macharis, is situated in the field of collaborative planning, with the main focus on participatory co-creation methodologies like Living Labs in the realm of traffic calming and pedestrianisation. She worked on the survey on monitoring the impact of the pedestrian zone on mobility, accessibility and public space.
